Submissions

We’re always on the lookout for exciting projects by both new or established authors and illustrators.

We publish books for children 3 to 12 years old. We’re looking for creative, out of the box stories and illustrations.  As a rule, we stay away from books with issues that are overtly didactic. As an editorial line, know that our taste leans away from the reigning moral realism. 

We get a lot of approaches, so we try to reply to all submissions within 3 months, but sometimes we may fall short.  The current year list is already closed and we are slowly collecting works that we’ll consider for the next two years.

We only acquire world rights in all languages, so if your book is already published in another country or language, it might not work for us.

 

 

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Please make all submission by email, including copies of any supporting visual material.  You should also send a short covering letter containing all relevant information about you and your work.

Send your submission to info@syncreticpress.com with the word SUBMISSION TO SYNCRETIC on the subject. Our preferred format is Word or PDF

For Illustrators, our server has a hard time if you send very large files.  Please send us links to material or to websites.

Please don’t be too disappointed if we reject your work or don’t respond! We’re a small company and can only publish a few new books each year, so do try other publishers and agents: publishing is a hugely subjective business. We wish you luck!
