Bilingual reading experiences for indoor and outdoor spaces
Book Walks bring stories beyond the bookshelf
Syncretic Press creates bilingual Book Walks for schools, libraries, parks, community organizations, families, and other reading spaces. Use them indoors or outdoors—from school hallways and classrooms to library spaces, playgrounds, parks, trails, gardens, and community events.
A Book Walk turns a children’s story into a sequence of large illustrated panels that readers encounter one by one as they move through a space. The format combines reading, movement, conversation, and discovery in a way that works for individual families, classes, library programs, park visitors, and community events.
Each Syncretic Press Book Walk story includes 16 numbered 24 × 18 in. panels. English–Spanish is standard, with additional language editions available for selected titles. Panels are available in rigid or flexible formats and are made for repeated use with waterproof, washable materials and UV- and fade-resistant printing.

Indoor + outdoorflexible use
Use them where reading happens
Designed for both indoor and outdoor spaces
Book Walks are not limited to trails. They can create a permanent installation, a seasonal program, or a one-day reading activity depending on the display system you choose.
Indoors
Use Book Walks in school hallways, libraries, classrooms, community centers, exhibit spaces, and other indoor settings. Portable displays also make it easy for teachers and librarians to build a lesson or reading activity without a permanent installation.
Outdoors
Create reading experiences along park paths, trails, playgrounds, school grounds, gardens, plazas, and other outdoor spaces. Our story panels and display options are designed for repeated public use and changing weather conditions.
Choose the display style that fits your space
Permanent, movable, or fully portable
The right display depends on how—and how often—you want to use your Book Walk.
Permanent
For long-term installations in parks, trails, school grounds, library grounds, and other fixed locations.
Movable
Sturdy enough for permanent installation, but flexible enough to be relocated, reconfigured, or stored seasonally.
Fully portable
A-frame displays for community events, school hallways, playgrounds, library programs, lessons, and other temporary setups. Set them up for a program, then move or store them when the activity is over.
Place the panels in sequence and change stories whenever you are ready for a new reading experience.
