Pupé

Mariana Lucía “Pupé” Pereyra is an Argentine illustrator and graphic designer who studied at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). She has drawn since childhood and found in illustration the ideal combination of her love of drawing and the communication skills she developed through graphic design. After beginning her career as a designer, she moved into illustration through the textile field and, in 2006, began working independently as a freelance illustrator.

Pupé specializes in children’s illustration, and her work has appeared in books, publications such as La Nación, Hecho en Buenos Aires, and Anfibia, as well as posters, products, clothing, and commercial projects. She is especially drawn to color, materials, and the challenge of communicating through images. Since 2011, she has also taught Illustration in the Graphic Design program at UBA, and in 2020 her work was included in the Fenómeno Impreso exhibition at the Centro Cultural Recoleta.
