Paz Tamburrini

Paz Tamburrini is an Argentine visual artist and illustrator based in Buenos Aires. Trained in visual arts and printmaking, she holds a master’s degree in Children’s Books and Literature from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Her work is especially known for exploring the physical possibilities of books through paper cutting and paper engineering, using folds, layers, cutouts, and three-dimensional structures as part of the storytelling itself. 

Her illustrations were included in the 10th Iberoamérica Ilustra Catalog in 2019, and her work was selected for the Chen Bochui International Children’s Literature Award Original Illustrators Exhibition in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Pieces by Tamburrini are also held in the collection of the Shanghai Baoshan International Folk Art Museum in China. Alongside her work in children’s publishing, she teaches illustration and visual arts and develops workshops and projects centered on experimental bookmaking and paper art.
