Natalia Romero

Natalia Romero is an Argentine writer, poet, and teacher born in Bahía Blanca in 1985. She holds a degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and a Master’s in Creative Writing from the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero (UNTREF). Her work spans poetry, essays, fiction, and children’s literature. Among her books are Puede que la muerte mienta, El principio luminoso, El amor sostiene el peso de la noche, and the children’s titles ABC, Mi primera cocina and Dónde está lo que no está. 

Romero has coordinated writing workshops for more than a decade and has also taught and mentored artists in different creative programs. She received grants from Argentina’s Fondo Nacional de las Artes to develop her first novel and was selected for a residency at Can Serrat in Barcelona in 2024. Her writing often moves between poetry, everyday experience, memory, and close observation, with a strong interest in the ways language can reveal what is usually overlooked.
