Laura Aguerrebehere is an Argentine illustrator and art director born in La Plata, Buenos Aires. She studied Visual Arts at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, graduating with a specialization in scenography. After working in film and television as an art director, as well as exploring murals, caricature, and other forms of visual art, she found in children’s illustration a way to combine storytelling with her lifelong passion for drawing.
Since 2011, she has illustrated numerous books for children and young adults for publishers in Argentina and abroad, including Sudamericana, Pictus, Quipu, and La Brujita de Papel. Her work has been recognized by the Asociación de Dibujantes de Argentina, which selected her for its Children’s and Young Adult Illustration Award in both 2016 and 2019. In addition to her publishing work, she continues to work in film and television art direction.
