Eugenia was born in 1968 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she still lives today. She worked as a graphic designer until 1998, when she started to dedicate herself exclusively to illustration, mainly of children's books. To date, Eugenia has published tens of books in nine different countries. In 2008 she collaborated on the animated series Cuentos para no dormirse (Tales to Not Fall Asleep), aired by the channel Paka-paka, part of the Encuentro Network in Argentina. This series won awards in the Prix Jeunesse Iberoamericano in 2009, the Cinecita in 2010 and the Kolibrí Festival, in Bolivia, in 2009. In 2012, her work was selected to represent Argentina in the Bratislava Biennale, as well as for the Exhibition Image-word, held in Bogotá. In 2014 she was recognized by Alija, the Argentine section of IBBY, in the illustration category, for her illustrations in Tales of the Grotesque and Arabesque by E. A. Poe, edited by UnaLuna. She is a member of the Cartoonists Association of Argentina (ADA).
