Claudia Degliuomini is an Argentine illustrator and author born in Buenos Aires. She graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts with training in drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture, and later studied graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires and illustration with Istvan Schritter. Since 2003, she has illustrated children’s books for publishers throughout Latin America, Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, and she has represented Argentina at major illustration events including the Bratislava Biennial of Illustration and the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. Her books and illustrations have received numerous distinctions, including ALIJA awards for Pajarraigos and La tortilla de papas. In 2024, La carta, which she both wrote and illustrated, received an ALIJA distinction as the year’s outstanding poetry book. In addition to her work in children’s publishing, Degliuomini has studied botanical illustration and teaches drawing and watercolor workshops inspired by nature.
