Cecilia Pisos is an Argentine author, poet, and educator born in Buenos Aires in 1965. She studied Literature at the University of Buenos Aires, where she later taught, and also worked as a literary researcher and editor before turning her attention fully to writing for children and young adults. She has published more than 100 books, including poetry, picture books, short stories, and novels, and her work has appeared in Argentina, Spain, Mexico, Ecuador, the United States, and other countries.
Among her best-known works are Las hadas sueltas, Las brujas sueltas, El libro de los hechizos, El té de la princesa, No te acerques a este libro, and Como si no hubiera que cruzar el mar. Her work has received numerous awards and distinctions. In 2016, she won the Hispano-American Poetry Prize for Children for Esto que brilla en el aire. Syncretic Press has published her book Tablet.
