Caru studied and worked in set design, costume design, and fashion design before discovering her desire to become an illustrator. She draws because she feels the need to communicate what she feels, sees, and finds moving. Drawing connects her with herself and with others, and through those encounters, everyone seems to shine a little brighter.
She currently works with various publishing houses, advertising agencies, and private clients. She also participates in group and solo exhibitions, enjoying every stroke along the way. Syncretic Press has published her book Tablet.
