Ages 3 & 4

Books in this category depict familiar objects and experiences that are enjoyable to children in this age group.  These children like listening to slightly complex texts with good rhythm and effective word repetition.  Text and illustrations will lend themselves to different level of engagement depending on the child’s age and vocabulary development. 

The age span can go below and above the 2 to 5 years old age range, with multiple levels of parents’ involvement and up to fully independent reading from the child.
